Chainle: connect words by meaning

Chainle’s official instructions ask you to fill a gap between clue words. There is no single right answer: a guess is scored on how close its meaning is to all the clues at once. A word that fits only one clue scores almost nothing.

Its five-round format consists of three two-word bridges, one three-word bridge and one closest-connection round. The daily game allows one guess per round, with 5,000 points available in total. The home screen also offers an Unlimited entry.

Our comparison: if you like producing your own answers in a short shared challenge, this is the closer match of these two choices. The difference is the scoring target: Chainle rewards semantic connections; Krillion’s FAQ describes curated rarity.

Semantle: follow similarity toward a secret word

Semantle’s goal is to discover one secret word. Each guess must be a single word, and the game reports how semantically similar it is to the target. Its FAQ says the system uses word2vec and emphasizes meaning rather than spelling.

The same instructions allow unlimited guesses. Once a guess is within the thousand nearest words, the game reports it in the proximity column.

Our comparison: choose this if you want to refine guesses using feedback. The central task is different from Krillion: you are looking for a hidden target, rather than trying to supply an unusual accepted answer to each category prompt.
