Reset times & daylight saving

Eastern Time (ET) is the year-round label. New York uses Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−4) during daylight saving and Eastern Standard Time (EST, UTC−5) during standard time. Calling the reset “midnight EST” all year would be misleading.

New York daylight saving time: 00:00 EDT in New York = 04:00 UTC = 12:00 noon in Beijing (Asia/Shanghai).
New York standard time: 00:00 EST in New York = 05:00 UTC = 13:00 in Beijing (Asia/Shanghai).

These conversions refer to the same calendar date in New York, UTC and Beijing. The applicable offset is the one in effect at midnight in New York; other regions may change their clocks on different dates.

Basis: the official client uses America/New_York and checks both UTC−4 and UTC−5 when calculating the next midnight. UTC and Beijing values above are time-zone conversions of that rule.

Why hasn’t Krillion reset at my midnight?

Your local midnight may occur before midnight in New York. The daily date follows New York time, so a new date on your device does not by itself mean a new Daily Dive is available.

If New York midnight has already passed and the challenge still appears unchanged, check the official game for its current challenge and any notices. This guide does not monitor live availability or establish the cause of a delayed update.

What can I play while waiting?

The official site has a separate Unlimited entry. Our Unlimited guide explains that mode’s entry screen and how it differs from Daily Dive. Opening another mode does not establish that the daily challenge has reset.
